The Strategy Awards recognize the key insights and ideas that contribute to some of the best campaigns in the country. It typically starts with just the seed of an idea, but from there it takes pure planning and executional magic every step of the way, and then you just might end up with a Strategy Award.
Our key insight for DonAir was that seat sale ads perform better than almost any other ad on social media. This, paired with the idea that our core audience would typically have to travel to experience an authentic Donair, really allowed us to engage our audience in a very fun and surprising way. With the clever use of the word “donair” and a change in art direction we were able to run a Facebook ad campaign that couldn’t be ignored.
Wunder was super fortunate to bring home a Bronze in Niche Strategy, sharing the podium with some brilliant campaigns. The Gold winner in this category was Go Back To Africa by FCB/SIX that won a Grand Prix at Cannes Lions earlier this year, and Silver went to Anyone But Sweden by Rethink.
