The $100 Bill
It’s becoming much harder for businesses to reach their audience on Facebook without paying to boost posts. So we decided to boost a post without spending any money. The day after a huge storm we attached a hundred dollar bill to a live Nova Scotia webcam, to seem as though it had blown there from the wind, then shared the video on Facebook. In just 24 hours the post reached over 100 thousand people in Nova Scotia. If we had spent the same $100 on a boosted post, we would have only reached about 9,700 people.
